Love is in the air and Gucci’s latest Valentine’s Day campaign, Gucci is coming together, photographed by American portrait photographer Tina Barney. On this occasion, creative director Sabato de Sarno will present some of fashion’s most beloved couples, including Lia Kebede and Philippe Rousselette, Pixie Geldof and George Barnett, Bazaar’s style director Grand Carlos Nazario and his partner Joe Morris. I hit some. “With this campaign, we wanted to convey and celebrate love in all its nuances. The cast includes families of all kinds, couples in love, and friends bound by deep love,” shares Delno. .

The lineup includes Italian newlyweds Mariacarla Boscono and Claudio stecchi. After a lavish wedding in Sicily, the Italian supermodel wrapped her recent wedding in an Olympic pole vaulter in Italy in an intimate civil ceremony at Palazzo Vecchio in Florence this fall.

Asked to describe the ceremony, Stick mused, “It’s very quick, but it’s still very emotional.” The couple is still basking in the bliss of their recent union and channeled that energy into the campaign. Its goal was to explore authentic expressions of love by showcasing real families and couples.

“I think it was very real to us. I think the photography, the way we did it, it felt like we were at home,” Boscono recalls from the shoot. The fashion darling is certainly no stranger to being in front of the camera, but she often doesn’t share the spotlight with her husband and daughter Mariliaka, who she had the support of. “We had the kids running around and then Riya (Kebede) arrived with all her kids. I had never seen her kids because they were so young, so it was fun. It was.”

The duo couldn’t feel more at home shooting with the Italian heritage brand. “When we were filming… it felt like, oh yeah, we were like this Italian couple,” Boscono explains. Set in an Italian villa, the campaign captures a home setting full of warmth and living emotion. “It was a nice villa, but the furniture felt like home, not like a luxury hotel with no soul, like where you live,” Steck says.

The Italian couple recently put down their roots in Florence, the birthplace of Gucci. “We want to be close all the time, like really physically close. Like touching hands, hugging, hugging while walking,” Cane elaborated.

“I think Italians are very physical. We are very affectionate,” Boscono added.

Even in images where they were not moved, the two were still able to carry the campaign intent of the power of intimate love languages through unspoken exchanges. In one image, Boscono stands in the foreground wearing a lace dress and a matching bag from Gucci Rosso Ancora, the brand’s latest signature color. Meanwhile, Cane is seen lounging in the background in a crisp blue button-down and sleek pants. “I’m giving him my back, but I think I’m wearing clothes that are a little provocative. I think the photo is of him looking at his wife and having fun,” Boscono emphasizes.

Boscono wasn’t shy about sharing the little things Stecchi does every day. “I have to say that I am a very lucky woman, as he does everything,” praises Boscono. “He always makes my favorite food. He takes care of us as a family.”

One might expect it to be very difficult for the pair to carve out quality time together due to the demands of their respective careers and busy schedules. And in fact, the two say they are never together for more than eight days at a time, but they also realize how satisfying it is to get back to each other after being separated. “Also, when you get back together, it’s great because you have that fire and you want to be together.

Their unconditional love is the message Boscono and Cane hope people take away from this campaign. “I think this project was a very natural (part) of what we were in our souls… We were already, like, approaching this project, this is us, this is us. , this is us. Our love,” she says.

What about Boscono and Stecchi’s plans this Valentine’s Day? The simpler the better. “We like simple things. You know, go to the market, go for a walk, go for coffee in the morning. We just want to be together,” concludes Boscono .
