Pakistani Hindu designer Deepak Perwani, who recently visited Jaipur, India, was criticized for praising his country. He highlighted the clear differences between the two countries, especially when it comes to freedom, well-being and infrastructure, and also shared that he felt Indian cities were more pedestrian-friendly compared to Pakistan.

“If you compare their lives, Indians are better off. They are full of happiness. People live their lives with laughter. Women walk freely on the streets and ride bicycles and motorbikes. Rickshaws. Car drivers and taxi drivers also use UPI,” Deepak said in an interview with Amna Haider on the show ‘Something Haute’.

Pakistani Hindu fashion designer Deepak Perwani recently visited Jaipur. He shared his experience on a Pakistani channel.

“Auratin Lodon Pe Charti Hai” is also a bonus.

“It’s much more dynamic. There are sidewalks and walkways. It’s not a concrete jungle,” he added.

His comments drew mixed reactions on social media. One user wrote, “Pakistan is a third world country with low economic growth. Who is safe in Pakistan? Not even a 4 year old. Everywhere you look, Indians are making a name for themselves. Reality. Embrace it and do something productive. Get out of the illusion that you are special and that there is no one like you.”

“I have old pictures of Karachi when women rode bikes. And I have pictures of Mumbai when it was Bombay. People were happy to have a mosque next to a temple. In both countries. Things change and disappointments are everywhere. But if you love the country more, don’t say bad things, just leave!!” said another user.

“He should move to India and help us!” a third user commented. “Running away is not the solution. Go, go to India, you will never be respected when you come here. They are complaining instead of making the country better,” another netizen wrote. Ta.

“Depak Parwani Sahab is absolutely right. We should aim to improve our country and most importantly our cities,” a user commented.
