Industry experts, policy makers and regulators gathered today at the Andhra Pradesh Medical Technology Zone (AMTZ) for a national conference focused on ‘Strengthening Quality Assurance of Pharmaceuticals through Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)’ It was done. The event, organized by the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) in collaboration with the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers and AMTZ, highlighted the important role of GMP in ensuring the production of safe, effective and quality medicines.

The conference emphasized that GMP goes beyond regulatory compliance and provides a comprehensive framework for ensuring product quality, safety, and effectiveness. Key discussions centered on how risks such as contamination and defects can be minimized through standardization, accurate documentation, and strict quality control practices. Industry leaders also emphasized the importance of integrating GMP and emerging technologies to streamline processes and meet international standards.

In a competitive business environment, attracting investment is essential for pharmaceutical companies looking to grow, strengthen their products, and expand their market presence. GMP implementation is a key factor in securing investment as it demonstrates a commitment to high quality standards and operational excellence.

Dr. Nasir Jamal, Director of PHDCCI, commented: With initiatives like GMP and restructured RPTUAS, the Indian pharmaceutical industry is poised to achieve global competitiveness while prioritizing public health. ”

Sharing his insights on the evolution of the organization, Dr. Jitendra Sharma, Managing Director and CEO of AMTZ, said, “AMTZ is a growing company with a strong focus on the evolution of the organization. By providing a GMP certification and validation ecosystem, we aim to help industry seamlessly coordinate certification, regulation, and production. Our growth from concept to reality demonstrates the power of collaboration in reshaping healthcare manufacturing in India. ” Dharmendra Kumar Yadav highlighted the future of the industry and said, “The future holds immense potential, but it requires continuous innovation and an unwavering commitment to quality.” Ta.

The event featured sessions by eminent speakers such as Dr. Nasir Jamal, Dr. Jitendra Sharma, Dr. Poosara Rajesh, Dr. Kirari Eswar Kumar, Dr. K. Bhuvaneswari and others. The conference also featured a detailed presentation on RPTUAS by Mr. Yashwant Shinde of SIDBI, providing valuable insights into the benefits of this scheme for technology upgradation in the pharmaceutical sector.

The conference represents a concerted effort to strengthen India’s pharmaceutical manufacturing industry through quality assurance and innovation. While GMP ensures patient safety, the RPTUAS scheme provides the support needed to modernize and scale up the industry, enabling it to compete at a global level.
