The women’s team from Kerala retained the title at the Senior National 3X3 Basketball Championship held in Bangalore on Sunday. In the final, Kerala led by Sreekara R defeated Tamil Nadu 16-12. This is the second medal for a female athlete from Kerala after winning a silver medal at the Senior National Championships in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, earlier this month.

The men’s title was won by Tamil Nadu, but it had a Malayali feel as Pranav Prince from Thiruvananthapuram was the star of the team that defeated Uttar Pradesh 21-16 in the final. Kerala women defeated Telangana 19-17 in the semi-final. Other members of the Kerala women’s team are Susan Floretina, Kavitha Jose and Jayalakshmi V.J.
