Islam Makhachev successfully defended his lightweight championship belt at UFC 311 following a first-round submission of No. 10 Renato Moicano.

The Russian mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter took four minutes and five seconds to score his 15th straight victory on Saturday at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.

Makhachev, who has a record of 27-1, quickly took down his Brazilian opponent and immediately applied a dulce choke.

Makhachev, 33, has the most title fights in his weight class with five wins and will defend his belt for the fourth time, achieving a feat no other fighter in his weight class has ever achieved. Successful. It was his 13th victory by submission.

Moicano was a last-minute replacement for top challenger Arman Tsarukyan, who withdrew from the fight on Friday due to an injury with “severe back pain.”

In an epic and action-packed bantamweight title bout, champion Merab Dvalishvili extended his winning streak to 12 and successfully defended his title for the first time, suffering his first career loss to No. 2 contender Umar Nurmagomedov.

In the heavyweight division, Jailton Almeida, who is ranked 6th in the rankings, hurt the ranked 7th ranked Sergei Spivac with a series of right hands towards the end of the first round, and the match ended with a TKO victory at 4 minutes and 53 seconds with ground and pound attacks. .

Reinier de Ridder wasted no time in taking down Kevin Holland about 10 seconds into the middleweight bout, finishing him off with a rear-naked chokehold at 3:31 of the first round.
