When Real Madrid take on Las Palmas at the Santiago Bernabéu, they will be without one of their best players.

Real Madrid will play their second La Liga game in 2025 against the side they drew 1-1 with in August. Carlo Ancelotti’s side will be hoping to make up for their disappointing result, which saw them pick up three points against Las Palmas in front of their home crowd.

Los Blancos will be without the injured Eduardo Camavinga, Eder Militao and Dani Carvajal, as well as Vinicius Junior and Luka Modric. The Brazilian will play against Valencia, the first match of a two-game suspension for La Liga due to a red card. Meanwhile, Modric was also suspended after receiving his fifth yellow card of the season against Valencia.

Ancelotti is expected to use a changed squad from Real Madrid’s 5-2 win over Celta Vigo in the Copa del Rey. However, despite their extra-time heroics, Endrik and Arda Güler are still likely to start on the bench in La Liga matches.

Here’s how Real Madrid’s eleven will look against Las Palmas on January 19th.

Goalkeeper: Thibaut Courtois — The Belgian returned to the starting lineup after being rested against Celta Vigo.

RB: Lucas Vázquez — The Spaniard will continue to start on the right wing amid rumors that Trent Alexander-Arnold could join Madrid.

CB: Raul Asensio — The 21-year-old gave up a penalty on Thursday, but still played strong defense and should be evaluated alongside Rudiger.

CB: Antonio Rudiger — After playing 120 minutes against Celta Vigo, the center back will lead the defense on Sunday.

LB: Ferland Mendy—Mendy is expected to play on the left in place of Fran Garcia.

DM: Fede Valverde — After scoring another banger from outside the box, Valverde reminded his team that he is always a threat, even from distance.

DM: Aurélien Choameny – Now back in his natural position, the Frenchman responded to the big whistle with his best performance of the season.

RW: Brahim Díaz — Díaz created the most chances for Real Madrid in just 70 minutes on the pitch against Celta Vigo.

AM: Jude Bellingham — Real Madrid tends to go in the same direction as Bellingham. The England international is able to link up freely with the front three to create scoring chances.

LW: Rodrigo — The Brazilian gets a rare start on the left wing while Vinicius Junior is suspended.

ST: Kylian Mbappe — Mbappe continues to impress in the final third, leading Real Madrid with 16 goals across all competitions.
