Elon Musk is interested in new challenges. In a recent post shared on social media platform He thinks it’s harder than launching a rocket. The CEO of Tesla and SpaceX said this while replying to an original post about the recent intrusion into US Treasury computers by Chinese hackers. In response to another X user’s opinion that Musk not only needs to streamline the U.S. government, but also the IT sector, Musk may help protect the country from such cyber threats in the coming days. Not expressed any desire to do the same.

What Mr. Musk said about rebuilding the US government’s IT department

It started when an X user named Arthur McWaters reposted an article about the intrusion into the US Treasury by Chinese hackers and wrote: “We need Elon not only for DOGE, but also as a government IT person.”
“My goal is to fix government IT! This is harder than putting a rocket into orbit. Actually,” Mr. Musk replied to this post:
Musk has previously claimed that he is good at “technical support.” he said while replying to another post that included a photo of baby Musk and his mother May Musk and her words. “Elon Musk was my encyclopedia and technology expert.”
In response to the post, Musk wrote: “I’m good at technical support.”

This comes after the US Treasury claimed that Chinese state-backed hackers exploited vulnerabilities in third-party cybersecurity provider BeyondTrust to break into the company’s computers and access unclassified documents. It’s about. The breach was attributed to a Chinese Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) actor and was detected in December 2024, and CISA and FBI were notified to assess the impact of the incident.
Separately, the US government has faced other major cyberattacks in recent months. In December 2024, telecommunications companies such as AT&T and Verizon were targeted in a major hack, also attributed to China. The attack, dubbed the “Salt Cyclone,” is considered one of the largest data breaches in U.S. history.
Additionally, the US Department of Defense faced a security breach in November 2024 in which hackers gained access to classified information related to weapons development.
