New Delhi: UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev is scheduled to defend his lightweight title against Renato Moicano on Sunday, January 19 at the Intuit Dome Arena in Inglewood. Previously, Makhachev was scheduled to face arch-rival Arman Tsarukyan in the main event of UFC 311, but Armand withdrew from the bout due to a back injury.

Moicano took the fight on a day’s notice and is ready to headline the UFC’s first big PPV. The fan favorite was facing Beneil Darish on the main card of UFC 311, but after Allman’s departure, Dana White replaced him with Moicano.

In the co-main event, bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili will defend his title against undefeated Umar Nurmagomedov. Umar’s cousin and coach Khabib Nurmagomedov, along with his brother, will help Umar win his first major title in the UFC.

Jiri Prochaska, ranked No. 2 in the light heavyweight division, will face Jamahal Hill, ranked No. 3. This will be the best opportunity for both fighters to come away with a win and challenge for Alex Periera’s light heavyweight title.
