The women’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection will have its own showcase during Paris Fashion Week, scheduled for March 3rd to 11th.
Kenzo revealed the details of its development exclusively to WWD, hinting that it will be increasing its focus on women’s wear.
“This decision follows three years of creative growth under Artistic Director Nigo, who has built a strong foundation for Kenzo menswear,” the house said in a statement. “With the men’s wardrobe now firmly established and evolving with a strong and consistent identity, the Maison is now taking Kenzo women’s in a bold new direction, bringing a dynamic and modern perspective to the Maison. The new design director will be Joshua A. Bullen, who previously served as ready-to-wear design director at Givenchy.
Kenzo said the show will return to a co-ed format for the 2026 spring show next June.
In its review of Kenzo’s spring 2025 show, WWD suggested that Nigo “though his vision for menswear is not very sharp yet, he should hone his vision for womenswear even further.”
Nigo, perhaps best known as the founder of A Bathing Ape and a pioneer of streetwear in Japan, took over the creative helm at Kenzo in September 2021.
At the time of his appointment, he praised founder Kenzo Takada’s “approach to creating originality was through understanding many cultures.” It is also the essence of my own creativity philosophy. ”
