Revance departs for Singapore and Davos to attract Rs 1 billion investment

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and his team left New Delhi on Thursday evening with the aim of attracting investments of Rs 1,000 crore to Telangana from the World Economic Forum (WEF) annual conference to be held in Davos.

The initial outage will be for three days in Singapore, after which the team will move to Davos, Switzerland, where the annual conference will be held from January 20th to 22nd, attracting industry leaders, investors and top businesspeople from around the world. get together.

The Chief Minister is confident that his team will pitch Telangana as a dream destination to top investors and reach Rs 1,000 crore. He also predicts the incentives being provided by the state government to IT, AI, pharma and manufacturing sectors, as well as the recently announced clean and green energy policy to market Telangana as a destination.

Industry ministry officials said last year they received an investment of 40,000 rupees, of which 30,000 rupees worth of work was stopped. Officials said the figures for jobs created through these investments will be known once the planned projects are completed.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy achieved the highest amount of Rs 40,000 during his maiden visit to Davos last year. He said the highest investment raised during the BRS government was Rs 20,000 crore in 2023 and claimed that this time it will break all records.

The CM’s delegation comprises IT Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu; Seshadri, Principal Secretary to the CMO. IT Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, along with officials Ajit Reddy and Vishnuvardhan Reddy, will explore business opportunities in Singapore during his three-day visit.

The team visited the Singapore Institute of Technical Education to study the courses being offered for skill development, which will be replicated at the Young India Skills University in Telangana. The Prime Minister will also visit Singapore’s riverbanks in view of the government’s prestigious Musi River Restoration Project.
