With the field of humanoid robotics becoming one of the hottest topics these days, NVIDIA announced at CES 2025 the Cosmos family of basic AI models designed to train humanoid and industrial robots.

According to a report by Chinese media mydrivers, it is worth noting that NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang spoke at an event about humanoid robots such as China’s Unitree Robotics, which developed the H1 robot, and major electric car manufacturer XPeng. The US semiconductor giant has announced a partner in the field. China’s top EV maker BYD is also included in the list.

According to mydrivers, Unitree Robotics recently launched its first general-purpose humanoid robot, the H1. This is China’s first full-sized humanoid robot that can run.

Another report by Interesting Engineering says Unitree Robotics has announced a new open-source full-body data set that will allow its H1, H1-2, and G-1 humanoid robots to move more naturally. This data also allows robots to dance like humans, the report adds.

In November 2024, XPeng, known as a major EV company in China, shared technology from XPeng’s AI vehicle, and the latest humanoid robot developed over five years has more than 60 joints and 200 degrees of freedom. It is also worth noting that this announcement was made. .

Another Chinese EV giant, BYD, is also partnering with NVIDIA to develop humanoid robots.
