Leh, January 13, 2025: Advisor to the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Dr. Pawan Kotwal reviews expenditure under SDP/National Capital Expenditure and formulates strategy for utilization of additional 400 million budget announced by Ministry of Finance for UT. He chaired the meeting for. Lecture on Ladakh held at UT Secretariat Conference Hall.

Dr. Safdar Ali, Director of Finance, gave a comprehensive presentation on the budget estimates and revised budget estimates for the financial year 2024-25. It was announced that the capital budget of LAHDC has been restored to Rs 344 million each and the remaining funds have been reallocated as per the requirements of various departments.

Advisor Dr. Pawan Kotwal emphasized on the collective efforts of officials towards transparency, accountability and efficiency in resource utilization and ensured that every rupee spent contributes significantly to the overall development of Ladakh. Guaranteed. He directed the concerned officers to utilize the funds in a timely manner and settle the responsibilities of the work done by various departments. He stressed the importance of fiscal responsibility, timely execution, and the need for continued cooperation to overcome challenges that may arise during the implementation phase.

The meeting was attended by the entire Executive Secretary for Tourism and Culture Vikram Sig Malik. Mr. Michael D’Souza, Chief Executive, Persons with Disabilities; Mr. Yetindara Malalkar, Director General of FCS&CA; Mr. Bhupesh Chaudhary, Executive Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Horticulture; RDD, Secretary General Shashanka Ara. Mr. Bhanu Prabha, Secretary, Higher Education and School Education; Deputy Commissioner Reh Santosh Sukadev. Kargil Deputy Commissioner Shrikant Suse; Department heads and staff of related departments.
