1217 GMT — Lebanon reports four more Israeli ceasefire violations
Lebanese media reported four more violations of the ceasefire agreement between Beirut and Tel Aviv by Israel.
State news agency NNA reported that an Israeli reconnaissance plane flew low over the southern city of Tire.
The same source said Israeli forces blew up several houses in the southern Lebanese town of Aita ash-Shaab.
According to NNA, Israeli forces also carried out a large-scale search operation in the town of Qiam, and military vehicles were reported to be advancing into the town of Meis el-Jabal. Lebanese troops were scheduled to deploy to Meis el-Jabal on Monday, but the move was later postponed.
1045 GMT — Palestinian death toll in Gaza approaches 46,600
At least 19 more Palestinians have been killed in continued Israeli offensives in the Gaza Strip, bringing the total death toll since October 2023 to 46,584, according to the Gaza Strip’s Ministry of Health.
The ministry statement added that approximately 109,731 other people were injured in the ongoing violence.
“Israeli forces killed 19 people and injured 71 others in two family massacres in the past 24 hours,” the ministry said in a statement. “Rescue teams have not been able to reach them and many people are still trapped under the rubble or on the roads,” he added.
