“The three-day Poly Techfest-2024-25 will be held at SS Convention Hall, Vijayawada from January 6, 2025,” said G. Ganesh Kumar, Director, Technical Education.

Kona Sasidar, Principal Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development. On January 6, 2025, Director of Technical Education Ganesh Kumar will inaugurate the event and on January 7, 2025, Human Resource Development Minister (HRD) Nara Lokesh will inaugurate the event as the chief guest.

Kumar said in a statement that the program is part of the Skill Andhra Pradesh program, which aims to promote a culture of innovation, scientific thinking and research among polytechnic diploma students. He said that he is doing so. This initiative is in line with the government’s goal to foster new innovations in science and technology and transform students into technocrats.

In December 2024, regional tech fests were held in 13 district headquarters across the state, where 1,302 projects were showcased. Among them, 249 projects were shortlisted for this state-level event.

The first prize winner at the regional level received a cash prize of ₹25,000 and the second prize received a cash prize of ₹10,000.

In the state-level competition, the winner of each category will receive a cash prize of Rs 100,000, the second place a cash prize of Rs 50,000 and a consolation prize of Rs 25,000.
