Paramount and Comcast Strike sign new multi-year distribution agreement

Comcast, the parent company of Paramount Global and NBCUniversal, which is to be acquired by David Ellison’s Skydance Media, announced Tuesday that it will deliver Paramount’s core portfolio of broadcast, entertainment, news and sports brands across the Xfinity platform. ” announced the renewal of its comprehensive distribution agreement.

Financial and timing details were not disclosed.

The multi-year agreement guarantees coverage on Paramount’s networks, including CBS, BET, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Paramount Network and more. “Comcast subscribers will also continue to have access to Paramount’s streaming services, including Paramount+, Pluto TV, and BET+,” they said. “Additionally, as part of the renewal, Comcast has the right to make Paramount+ with Showtime available to eligible Xfinity customers.”

“We are pleased to renew and expand our extensive partnership with Comcast,” said Ray Hopkins, president of Paramount Distribution. “This new agreement ensures that our dynamic portfolio of popular brands and premium programming will continue to reach and entertain our valued audiences around the world.”
