Sabrina Carpenter’s Espresso was released in April and is already the most listened to song in her discography, with millions of streams on Spotify. The song also became her first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, earning it the status of Carpenter’s Star Is Born song. Over the months, Espresso has received tremendous love and support from fans and still reigns on many people’s playlists. Carpenter appears to be having second thoughts about the Grammy-nominated song, revealing that he didn’t expect it to be a success.

In a recent conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, the Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter opened up about the song, along with her latest partnership with Dunkin’, and revealed that she never expected the song to become as big as she expected. , he revealed. “I didn’t know if it would connect or not, but the emotion and sound of this song and the confidence that it would go with it as it was was something I believed in. So I didn’t know that anyone would like it. “I didn’t think so,” but I loved it, and that’s kind of all that mattered to me in that moment, and it’s something I try to remember over and over again,” she said. I shared it.

The song, which became a sensation in less than a year, led to Carpenter’s latest partnership with Dunkin’ to bring her own drink, Brown Sugar Shakin’ Espresso, to life. The singer, who explained that he wants to connect with his fans in various ways, added: So for me, when you’re not on tour and you can physically go to every city, it’s great to find partnerships like this to bring you to your doorstep or to a Dunkin near you. It’s something. ”

The chartbuster hit was released in April of this year and became Spotify’s most streamed song of the year, with over 1.6 billion streams. Espresso also earned Sabrina a nomination at the 2025 Grammy Awards, adding another feather to her cap. The song was nominated for Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.
