Two ‘Grammys’ specials to air on CBS

During the final week of 2024, CBS will air two Grammy Awards specials. Both will be co-hosted by CBS Mornings co-host Gayle King. Ken Ehrlich, who has been a producer or executive producer of the annual Grammy Awards telecast for 40 years, served as executive producer of both shows. Here are the details:

Grammy greats: The stories behind the songs

Airdate: Friday, December 27th at 9pm ET/PT on CBS, streaming on Paramount+.

Co-hosted by King and four-time Grammy nominee Mickey Guyton, the two-hour special delves into the stories behind the Grammy Song of the Year winners. The show will feature newly recorded interviews, previously aired performances and exclusive behind-the-scenes footage.

Notable songwriters and songs include Kenny Loggins and Michael McDonald’s “What a Fool Believes” (1980 winning song), Sting’s “Every Breath You Take” (1984), and Alicia Keys’ “Fallin’ ‘ (2002) and John Mayer’s ‘Daughters’. (2005), Amy Winehouse’s “Rehab” (2008), Adele’s “Hello” (2017, co-written with Greg Kurstin), Billie Eilish and Finneas’ “Bad Guy” (2020), Bonnie・Raitt’s “Just Like That” (2023).

Grammy Award Winners: Most Memorable Moments

Airdate: Sunday, Dec. 29, 9pm ET/PT on CBS, streaming on Paramount+.

The two-hour special, co-hosted by King and five-time Grammy Award winner Jimmy Jam, celebrates some of the most memorable moments in Grammy history. The show will be a combination of newly recorded interviews and previously aired performances, promising a “behind-the-scenes look at how the Grammys team responds to unexpected events.”

Featured artists include Brandi Carlyle, Dua Lipa, Keith Urban, St. Vincent, Chris Martin, and more.

The 67th Annual Grammy Awards Ceremony will be broadcast/streamed on Sunday, February 2nd at 8pm ET/5pm PT on CBS and Paramount+.
