Amandeep Singh Gill Deputy Secretary General and Secretary General‘s Special Envoy for Technology in the Office of the Secretary-General‘■ Technology envoy:

“For AI to equitably benefit the industry, global considerations must be translated into concrete industry standards. This is where events like the AIM Global Forum and organizations like UNIDO It will play a key role in shaping an inclusive digital economy rich in AI applications.”

Tsilizi Marwala, Rector of United Nations University and Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations, said:

“As we approach 2030, the target year for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the reality of our progress is stark. We are significantly off track. If we are serious about moving forward into the future, we need to rethink the strategies and approaches we are taking and move to embrace new technologies. Research shows that AI has the potential to help achieve SDG goals. However, AI governance and building trust in AI technology are critical to the responsible and appropriate use of AI. A comprehensive approach and international cooperation are essential to address this.”

Ciyong Zou, Deputy Director-General and Managing Director of UNIDO’s Department of Technical Cooperation and Sustainable Industrial Development, said:

“We have come together at a pivotal moment in history, where artificial intelligence is reshaping industries and offering transformative potential for efficiency, innovation and sustainability. Access to AI technologies remains uneven, and without deliberate action risks deepening global disparities. , A.I. ’s growing energy demand requires urgent action to ensure that growth is matched with environmental sustainability. Through united resolve and platforms like AIM Global, we can work together to help AI. can be achieved with certainty.‘Its benefits will be widely shared and its challenges thoughtfully addressed, creating a future where AI empowers everyone. ”
