The Delhi High Court has ordered Meta Platforms to facilitate the sale of fake diabetes medicines created using artificial information (AI) technology and posted on Facebook by Indian Television Chairman Rajat Sharma. ordered all deepfake videos to be immediately blocked/deleted/deleted. /It has an immediate effect on prostatitis/joint pain.

The high court also directed Meta Platforms Inc to disclose the names, addresses, emails and phone numbers of these Facebook users available.

In a detailed order, Justice Amit Bansal ordered the Ministry of Telecommunications and MEITY (Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology) to “encourage all telecommunications and internet service providers to access all such websites, phone numbers and social media accounts. Channels and platforms may then be notified in an affidavit by the plaintiff for infringing their exclusive rights. ”

This matter is now scheduled to be heard on April 3, 2025. In his petition filed through senior lawyer Saikrishna Rajagopal, Indian Television Chairman and Editor-in-Chief Rajat Sharma submitted eight Facebook links and said these Facebook users were “perpetuating gross misinformation”. “There is,” he claimed. The fraudulent use of AI technology to create manipulated videos that distort, alter, and modulate images, sounds, and other personality traits. ”

According to the paper, these Facebook users “allegedly prescribed diabetes/prostatitis/arthralgia prescribed by certain prominent doctors or certified by the government, along with prominent figures such as Amitabh Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan. “I want to promote medicines that can be used to treat or provide health tips,” he said. Dr. Naresh Trehan, thereby resulting in a gross violation of moral and publicity rights. ”

The petition also submitted that these Facebook users are “misusing and infringing the registered trademark of Indian Television logo and Rajat Sharma’s show Aaj Ki Baat”.
The logo “constitutes a violation of Motion Picture Film’s registered trademark and copyright.”

“The plaintiff’s (Rajat Sharma) false endorsement and false certification purporting to support fraudulent treatments for serious health concerns such as diabetes and joint pain are against him,” the petition said. “This amounts to a serious abuse of moral rights.” Because exploiting his reputation in this context could mislead the public into purchasing ineffective or harmful products under false assumptions of trustworthiness or endorsement; Potential damage is amplified. Unlike other celebrities whose association with commercial products is primarily related to lifestyle and luxury goods, Plaintiff’s (Rajat Sharma) professional position as a journalist requires a high sense of responsibility and trustworthiness. ”

In his order, Justice Amit Bansal said, “Such persons or entities are involved in infringement of the intellectual property rights of the complainant and have committed acts such as misappropriation, defacement, corruption, etc. of the registered trademark of the complainant (India Television). It is restricted from being used for that purpose.” It would undermine the plaintiffs’ goodwill and reputation. ”
