India U-19 team defeated Bangladesh U-19 in the Women’s U-19 Asia Cup in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday thanks to Gongadi Trisha’s brilliant half-century and impressive performance with the ball. They defeated them by 41 points and won their first Women’s U-19 Asian Cup title.
After winning the toss, Bangladesh captain Sumaiya Akhter chose to field. Trisha scored 52 runs off 47 balls, hitting five fours and two sixes in the top order. However, the remaining Indian batsmen found it difficult to score runs.

Trisha’s efforts were crucial as she held her innings together amid continued low scores from her teammates.
Had it not been for the quick contributions of Mithila Vinod (17 runs off 12 balls) and Ayushi Shukla (10 runs off 13 balls), India might have struggled to reach 117 runs for 7 off 20 overs.
For Bangladesh, Farjana Easmin was an outstanding bowler, taking 4 wickets for 31 runs, while Nishita Akhtar Nishi took 2 wickets for 23 runs.
Bangladesh, on the other hand, continued to lose wickets and fell short, being bowled out for just 76 runs in 18.3 overs. The only important scorers for the team were Huailiya Ferdous (22 runs off 30 balls) and Fahomida Choya (18 runs off 24 balls).

For the Indian side, Ayushi Shukla excelled with the ball, taking 3 wickets and scoring 17 runs, along with Sonam Yadav (2/13), Parnika Sisodia (2/12) and VJ Joshita (1/11). ) made up for it.
Gongadi Trisha received the Player of the Match award for her match-winning performance.
Quick score:
India U-19: 117 for 7 in 20 overs (Gongadi Trisha 52, Mithila Vinod 17, Farjana Easmin 4/31, Nishita Akter Nishi 2/23)
Bangladesh U-19: 76 all out in 18.3 overs (Juairiya Ferdous 22; Ayushi Shukla 3/17, Sonam Yadav 2/13, Parnika Sisodia 2/12)
