Colorado head coach Deion Sanders admitted he has not spoken to any NFL team about potentially joining the organization with his son, Buffaloes quarterback Shedule Sanders.
“I haven’t talked to anyone about a package deal, I haven’t talked to anyone about a contract,” Dion said on The Rich Eisen Show (3 p.m.).
Schedeur has looked impressive throughout his second year in Boulder and is expected to hear his name called during the 2025 NFL Draft. He was selected with the No. 2 overall pick in Bleacher Report’s Brent Sobleski’s latest mock draft of top 10 picks.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter previously revealed that the possibility of the father-son duo teaming up again in the NFL is “optional.”
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler also reported that it wouldn’t be surprising if an NFL team looking for a new head coach reaches out to Coach Prime to fill their vacancy.
But he seems focused on staying with the Buffaloes.
“I have one of the best, if not the best, AD in the country in Rick George, and I’m going to do whatever it takes to keep me here so I can bring a national championship to this great city. I’m sure he’ll do it,” Dion said Friday (around 3:15 p.m.).
The 57-year-old is trying to help the Buffaloes reach 10 wins for the first time since 2016, but he doesn’t currently have any plans to follow his son into the NFL.
