Ireland’s Conor McGregor has confirmed preliminary talks to face American social media influencer turned boxer Logan Paul.
Mixed martial arts fighter Conor McGregor has reached a tentative agreement to fight American social media influencer turned fighter Logan Paul in an exhibition boxing match, the former UFC champion announced on social media.
In his revelations about X, the Irish fighter added that he was in talks with billionaire businessman Mukesh Ambani’s family for the bout. “I have a preliminary agreement with the Ambani family to face Logan Paul in India. I have agreed,” McGregor wrote on Tuesday.
McGregor also stated that rumors of a potential fight with Ultimate Fighting Championship featherweight champion Ilya Topria are false. McGregor said after his boxing exhibition with Paul that he would “explore a return to the Octagon.”
Topria also denied speculation that he would face McGregor.
Topria said on social media, “Rumors of a match with Muchkin are false.” “I don’t fight rapists, and I have no interest in fighting them.”

Mr McGregor’s announcement comes after an Irish civil court jury must award approximately $257,000 to a woman who claims he “brutally raped and assaulted” her in a Dublin hotel penthouse in December 2018. This came less than a month after the court’s ruling.
Nikita Hand said she was severely bruised as a result of the assault and suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder. McGregor testified that he never forced the woman to do anything against her will and said she fabricated the charges after the two had consensual sex.
The Associated Press typically does not publish the names of alleged victims of sexual assault unless they come forward publicly, as Hand did.
McGregor, 36, was once the UFC’s biggest star, but he hasn’t fought since his fight with Dustin Poirier in July 2021 with a leg injury. He missed his scheduled fight against Michael Chandler at UFC 303 last June, and later said: The cause was a broken toe.
Paul is a YouTuber turned boxer. He previously faced retired five-division champion Floyd Mayweather, 18 years his senior, in a fight three years ago, surviving eight rounds. His older brother, Jake Paul, defeated former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, 58, by unanimous decision in Arlington, Texas, last month.
Jake Paul vs. Tyson was Netflix’s first live sports event, and Netflix announced that the fight was viewed by 60 million households.
