Two-time Olympic medalist PV Sindhu is engaged to Venkata Datta Sai, Managing Director of Hyderabad-based Posidex Technologies. The badminton star shared photos from the ceremony on Saturday, which are trending on social media. In the photo released, Sindhu and Venkata were seen wearing rings on their hands and smiling together. Significantly, the couple is said to be tying the knot on December 22 in Udaipur. The wedding ceremony will begin on December 20th with a reception in Hyderabad. Sindhu will then resume training for the important upcoming season.
Sindhu’s father said the two families knew each other well and plans for the wedding were finalized within a month. The couple chose this day as Sindhu will be busy with training and competitions next year.
Sindhu is the first and only Indian to win a gold medal at the 2019 BWF World Championships. She is the second Indian individual athlete to win two consecutive Olympic medals. She became the first Indian badminton player to win a silver medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics. Athletes who advance to the Olympic finals. He won a bronze medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Sindhu has won five medals at the Badminton World Championships, making her one of only two women (along with China’s Zhang Ning) to achieve this feat in singles.
Her fiancé, Venkata Datta Sai, holds a degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from the Foundation for Liberal and Management Education. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance and Bachelor of Business Administration from Flame University in 2018, followed by a Master’s degree in Data Science and Machine Learning from International University of Information Technology, Bangalore.
He began working at JSW not only as a summer intern but also as an in-house consultant.
