“Women want clothes that allow them to move seamlessly between work and personal life,” said Rupanshi Agarwal, CEO and co-founder of QUA.
Sophisticated basics, clean lines, and seasonless fashion are gaining popularity. “Our collection focuses on creating timeless, high-quality pieces that can be worn all year round, regardless of trends. It’s about building a wardrobe that you have,” she added.
Bridal fashion combines modernity and romance. “This season’s bridal fashion embraced a fusion of modernity and romance. We see clean lines and minimalist silhouettes dominating the runways,” said Abhinav Mishra.
Popular choices include two-piece sets, jumpsuits, and A-line dresses. Brides are drawn to earthy hues like terracotta and sage green with luxurious fabrics like silk and lightweight tulle.
“Trends lean toward styles that enhance natural beauty, focusing on structured yet simple designs that let the wearer’s personality shine,” he noted.
Post-pandemic weddings have shifted priorities to comfort, personal expression, and customization. “Couples are prioritizing comfort and personal style over strict traditions,” says Mishra.
Traditional craftsmanship techniques such as zardozi and mirror work are also making a comeback. “Intricate embroidery and handcrafted details were the focal point, ensuring the costumes were fresh and relevant while celebrating tradition,” he explained.
Groom fashion has evolved beyond black tuxedos. “Grooms are exploring different styles that reflect their personalities,” Mishra emphasized, noting trends such as lighter fabrics, bold colors like deep greens, and patterned suits.
“Accessories are playing a more important role, with unique shoes, pocket squares and statement watches becoming essential elements of a groom’s look,” he added.
Ayesha Rao observes brides embracing machimalism with versatility. “We love experimental designs and embroideries that bring a modern edge to traditional silhouettes. In 2024, brides will be able to transform their styles for different occasions and add long-lasting, versatile pieces to their bridal wardrobe. You’ll be drawn to the items,” she said.
