Bengalur -based founders have become the latest person who sets up the discriminatory prices for Zepto’s Android and iOS customers. Vinita Singh, a co -founder of Horse Power, has shared two screenshots, and has shown how the quick commerce platform claims more to the iPhone customer to the same product.

Shin said that both screenshots were shot at the same time. Nevertheless, there was a big difference between Zepto claiming Android customers and what iPhone users had to pay.
ZEPTO price gap
Vinita Singh took him to Linkedin on Saturday and raised concerns about ZEPTO’s discriminatory price settings. She shared two screenshots from the Zepto app.
The first screenshot taken from Android mobile phones indicates that 500 grams Capsicum is listed. £21 in the ZEPTO app. The second screenshot indicates that the same amount of capsicum is on sale. £107 on the iPhone.
“ZEPTO, do you have any explanation about this? The first screenshot: Android. The second screenshot: iPhone” wrote SINGH while sharing screenshots on Linkedin.
“Both screenshots were shot at the same time this morning, but why such a difference, Zepto?

Her post was spread by word of mouth in social media. Re -posted on the microblog platform X (previous Twitter), many users reported similar experiences in the price setting gap.
“It’s an apple. They make up to 35 % of the ratio of all 35 % of the apps, so when they pay the app, Apple takes 35 % of them. These are these. One X user wrote about the practice.

Anger on different prices
Recently, the number of scrutiny of discriminatory pricing compassions with online platforms has been increasing. Last week, the Consumer Protection Bureau sent a notification to Cab Agregators OLA and Uber to claim different fees based on mobile operating systems.
Pralahad Joshi, the Minister of Consumer Problem, announced this on the X post on January 23.
Another Bengalur woman has recently demonstrated how ZEPTO will implement various prices on Android and iPhone.
The price gap between Apple and Android is often due to differences in user population statistics. E -commerce platforms may be assumed that iPhone users are likely to pay additional fees because they have high disposable income.
