Quincy Wilson will compete in the 600 meters at the 17th Millrose Games on February 8, 2025. She became the youngest track and field athlete to win an Olympic gold medal at the 2024 Paris Games.

A standout track and field graduate of the Bliss School, Wilson had an exceptional 2024 season, earning several honors and titles. Starting with his VA showcase at the 2024 Penn Relays, the 17-year-old has made waves at indoor and outdoor racing events. By finishing sixth in the 400-meter final at the U.S. Olympic Trials, Wilson qualified for the men’s 4×400-meter relay at the Paris Olympics.

He contributed in the heats and won the gold medal with his team, although he did not make it to the final. In his first race after Paris, the 600 meters at the U.S. Marine Corps Classic, Quincy Wilson showed off his skills by running a time of 1:17.19, the second-best time in U.S. high school history.

Wilson will next compete in the 600 meters at Millrose on February 8, according to an Instagram post from Flo Track. Brandon Miller will also be joining the team, who will aim to break the 600m world record at the 17th competition. The official page also announced an additional $25,000 prize for the athlete who breaks the world record.

Quincy Wilson will compete in the 2024 Millrose Games, running the 600-meter dash with a time of 1:17.36, the second-fastest time among high school boys in history. His 400-meter time at the 2024 New Balance Nationals Indoors would have placed him fourth at last year’s World Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Quincy Wilson spoke about his academic system after returning from the Paris Games.

Quincy Wilson, the youngest American track and field athlete to compete in the Paris Olympics, balances her studies with track and field. In a recent interview with CITIUS Mag, he said his days after the Paris Olympics stint revolved around reading books and completing school assignments.

“Right after that, I went home and did my summer reading and had to read two books, one of which was about 600 pages and the other about 200 or 300 pages. . So I read those books and had to (answer) some of them.”My first semester went very well. ”

“I was on the highest honor roll I could get and had an ‘A’ average throughout the semester. I just tried to pick up where I left off before going to the Olympics and focus on keeping up my schoolwork and grades. “School always comes first, so I’ve really focused on that,” he added.

He set the 18-and-under world record for the indoor 400 meters in March 2024, and is also the indoor and outdoor American high school record holder.
