If expectations are the root of frustration, anyone who was expecting the NBA All-Star Game, or the whole weekend about it, is frustrating to be a complete and total waste of time for everyone else Deserves it.
You should have known that you were coming in. The event stinks. No one wants anything to do with it. Players really don’t want to play. Fans really don’t want to see it. I can somehow manage the Powerball profession of getting paid to watch basketball and ensure that people like me don’t really want to talk about it or write about it.
Sunday’s All-Star Game “presentation” ran in almost three hours, but only included about 30 minutes of actual basketball. The action on the court nevertheless had an explosion of low bar effort and was as badly painted as we all began to expect an All-Star basketball. Still, every other part of the night was so painfully bad, we all wanted more All-Star basketball by the time it was over.
Kevin Hart? For years I have been wondering how this guy who came out on Sunday has become so popular as a funny living antithesis. But now I would recommend having a nagging comic that will serve as “on court hosts.”
The big irony here is usually defined by how uninterested these talented superstars were actually trying out events, hosted by a man who only worked too hard on him. That means it was being done.
It was difficult to see the entire three hours. It seems strange that the NBA All-Star Game has been created recently. Of course, the answer is money. Sponsors are sponsors, TV trading is TV trading, but bad products are bad products.
Thank you to The Television Gods to Mac McClung for the Saturday night dunk contest. Normally, the 3-point contest is decent fun, but this year is another stunk.
Stephen Curry didn’t even take part in the All-Star Saturday night despite being held on his home court. Curry, who won the MVP in Sunday’s contest, won a casual half court in the All-Star Game. It was the best court highlight of the night. However, some guys named Jaren actually hit the most memorable shot on Sunday when he lends a bank for $100,000 with the logo 3.
Jalen and Kevin Hart. That’s something everyone remembers about the 2025 NBA All-Star Production. There was a time when the All-Star Game was cool because at least there was a fourth quarter or a certain one-on-one matchup, the best players in the world took good care of them to try, but then , obviously it’s gone for a long time.
There was also a time when All-Star games were cool because people couldn’t access the NBA games they wanted to watch at any time. You may not be able to see certain superstars play throughout the season except he came to your market or appeared on national television back then. This was an opportunity to showcase many great players that could be hidden mostly from the masses.
Well, this week marks the third time I’ve seen Jason Tatum and Donovan Mitchell fire three-generation bundles. There’s nothing exciting or unique about it. Even those of us who love watching NBA basketball are seeing plenty of these players, whether it’s TNT, ESPN or League Pass.
That’s enough. No one needs this weekend – the most notable is the player themselves. Give them a break. And for the love of all holy things, if nothing else, give us a break from the presenter Kevin Hart.
