Juror #2

WB’s best new film in a long time, fresh off a limited theatrical run that grossed just $20 million worldwide in limited release, is now available on Max for free (“Free”) and instantly became the #1 hit on the service. It’s now a movie.
That’s Juror #2, directed by none other than Clint Eastwood, which has an exceptional critic score of 93% with 160 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, as well as a new metric used by the site. It even has a “Certified Hot” audience score of 91%. .
I don’t know if it will be an Oscar nominee, but I won’t rule it out. No, this is not a remake of 12 Angry Men. However, while it shares many similarities as it involves Juror #2 convincing his fellow jurors that the defendant is innocent, it has its own twist that I won’t spoil. has been added. here.
When I say “the hottest star of the year,” I’m referring to star Nicholas Hoult. He has been a great actor for a long time, but in 2024 he completely broke out with this movie. He played a major role in Nosferatu (which may itself be an Oscar nominee) and as Lex Luthor in the first trailer for James Gunn’s Superman, which will be one of next year’s biggest films. The spotlight was on him.

I watched Juror #2 back when you still had to rent it (at a high price) on Amazon Prime Video, and it was worth the price of admission, so to speak. It’s hard to talk about this movie without spoiling it, but Hoult is great here, and we’re going to see him in Nosferatu later today. Here is the official synopsis for Juror #2:
“Juror #2 follows Justin, a family man who, while serving as a juror in a high-profile murder trial, struggles with a serious moral dilemma that could sway the jury’s verdict and result in a guilty verdict. Kemp (Nicholas Hoult) – or is released – a murder suspect.
Holt has been in a hilarious comedic role opposite Elle Fanning on several seasons of The Great over the past few years, and it’s fitting for a year like this. Before that, he appeared in The Menu, Beast in a number of X-Men films, and one of his favorite roles, a self-conscious zombie in Warm Bodies. After Lex Luthor and this year? I certainly think it’s time for the 35-year-old to be considered an A-list star (if he isn’t already). Be sure to check him out on Juror #2.
