Days after Mark Zuckerberg said on his podcast that several governments, including India’s, lost power in elections held after the coronavirus pandemic, Mehta called it an “inadvertent error.” I apologized for that comment.

On Monday, Bharatiya Janata Party MP Nishikant Dubey said a parliamentary committee will summon Mehta’s representatives from January 20 to 24 to seek an apology from Mark Zuckerberg for his comments.

Appearing on Joe Rogan’s podcast, Zuckerberg said that elections around the world in 2024 will oust most current governments, including in India.
“Whether it was inflation due to economic policies to deal with the coronavirus, or simply how governments have responded to the coronavirus, there is some kind of global phenomenon, and this impact is felt only in the United States. “It appears to be something very broad and global,” the Facebook founder said.
