The audio and trailer launch event for the film ‘Kannila’, directed and starring Kathiravan, was held in Chennai recently with great success. The event was attended by several prominent personalities from the film industry including renowned director RV Udayakumar, Perarasu and veteran producer K. Rajan, who joined the production crew of the film and extended their support. I shared my opinion. Director Peraras shared his insights on the current state of the film industry.
At the event, the director said, “There aren’t many romantic movies these days, so it’s refreshing to see a movie like ‘Kannila’ being made.” This movie is beautifully made with love as the central theme. It’s been a long time since we had a good love story. It was filmed in Malaysia and will be released here. Everyone should support it. ”
He added: “People are claiming that low-budget films are not doing well at the box office. Theater owners say that such films have very few audiences. This problem must be addressed and resolved.” The film industry is in a big crisis. Today, the film industry is in a big crisis. Small films have no audience and no theaters. What should we do to attract audiences to low-budget films only if we get together and discuss that the prices of products sold in theaters are exorbitant, and besides, parking fees are exorbitant. It’s also outrageous. How are people going to go to the theater in a situation like this? We have to address the problem within our system rather than blaming others.”
