In his petition filed through senior lawyer Saikrishna Rajagopal, Indian Television Chairman and Editor-in-Chief Rajat Sharma submitted eight Facebook links and said these Facebook users were “perpetuating gross misinformation”. “There is,” he claimed. In his order, Justice Amit Bansal said, “Such persons or entities are involved in infringement of the intellectual property rights of the complainant and have committed acts such as misappropriation, defacement, corruption, etc. of the registered trademark of the complainant (India Television).
