If I try to find all smart glass companies at CES, I will probably be here for a week. If you step into the LVCC Central Hall, you will be greeted by 3-4 smart eyewear brands. These types of gadgets have appeared in many forms for many years since the focus of the original Google Glass and North, but the popularity of the Meta Ray Ban Wayfarer has exploded. Google recently announced the Android XR platform. This means that even more smart glasses are probably approaching. Let’s run through a handful of things that I’ve managed to see:
Sightfulful Spacetop Glasses: I have been following the development of Spacetop for a while, but I am finally shipped the product as of the first day of CES 2025. The original design was the lower half of the laptop attached to the smart glass. now? It is just smart glasses (not technically made visually -they are XREAL glasses). Sightful is focusing on software, which is an expansion reality computing platform that can work in a virtual environment and place surrounding apps, but obviously enough to enable the previous version. There was no calculation ability. That’s why you need to bring a laptop mounted on your Intel Lake or Meteor Lake. If you paint glasses on a machine, there is a larger world. Wide hardware support is on the horizon. The cost is steep. The one -year subscription of glasses and software begins at $ 950. After that, there is no software cost.
NUANCE AUDIO Frames: Nuance Audio, the new sub brand of Essilorluxottica, first showed a smart glass prototype pair that can boost hearing at CES 2024, but now the product is close to the final format, available at the counter in 2025. It will be. For $ 1,100. There is a speaker baked on the arm of the glasses and a microphone in front. You can use a beam format to separate the audio, correct it to the person or subject in front of you, supply voices through speakers, and listen to them better. It is designed for moderate people because of low hearing loss, and is being approved for FDA. My demo was not wonderful. It was a noisy environment, and that person’s voice did not come through the speakers consistently, but I chose it to be a prototype.
LOOMOS AI Glasses: Accessory manufacturer Sharge has AI glasses. Like META’s Wayfarer Glasses, there are 4K photos, 1080P videos, 16 -megapixel cameras that capture speakers, pumping some songs. Naturally, access to voice assistants equipped with Openai GPT-4O major language models are incorporated. The company claims that the battery is the largest in the market at 450 mAh, and can be expanded to 6,500 mAh with a neck band power bank. Sharge mainly makes charging and battery accessories, which makes sense. But I don’t know if I want to wear a battery as a necklace.
Rayneo X3 Pro, AIR 3, and V3: Rayneo has been producing smart glasses for a while, and CES has three new glasses. I tried the top -end model X3 Pro, but there is a projector on the frame of glasses that turn the lens into a mini display. I stood there because the person before me spoke Chinese and the glasses translated it in real time for me. It was a really big environment, but it wasn’t very accurate. Even more surprising is how these glasses feel light and slim. This technology has evolved rapidly from thick frames to more subtle.
Mustard Glasses: Camera for photography, videos, speakers, and AI assistants, such as another glasses with the entire Shiban. Unique, there is a physical cover that blocks the camera when you are not using the camera, and some users or people around you may be more comfortable. AI can analyze what you are looking at, and mustard says that there is an app ecosystem. It is not clear what it looks like. It will be released as Kickstarter in March.
There are many things I couldn’t see, like INair Pro, XREAL ONE PRO AR. It does not mention what I already wrote, such as Halliday Glasses, Solos Airgo 3, uniform reality G1. Immediately, we all become glass holes!
