Before applying for a PAN card reissue, it is important to know the issuing authority of your current PAN card. The Income Tax Department has authorized two agencies to issue, update and provide PAN related services. These agencies are Protean (formerly known as NSDL e-governance) and UTI Infrastructure Technology and Services Ltd (UTIITSL). To reprint your PAN card using a QR code, check the back of your PAN to find out which agency to contact.
