Samsung Galaxy S26 series is coming soon. Samsung’s flagship lineup is expected to receive notable upgrades in design and performance. Now, reports have emerged that the Galaxy S26 Plus may learn the lessons of the S26 Ultra.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Plus may match Galaxy S26 Ultra’s display size
Plus models of the Galaxy S series typically offer larger displays than vanilla models, but Samsung has reserved the largest screen size for the Ultra so far. According to Tech Informer, the Korean giant may upgrade the screen size of the Galaxy S26 Plus from 6.7 inches to 6.9 inches, making it on par with the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
This could narrow the gap between the Plus and Ultra models and change consumers’ perception of the Galaxy S26 Plus. Both panels are expected to be QHD+ displays with a 120Hz refresh rate. However, it is unclear if both devices will use the same display.
Interestingly, it was previously reported that the Galaxy S26 Plus would be replaced by an ultra-thin Galaxy S26 Edge version. However, Samsung has reportedly shelved such plans and refocused on the Plus model.
Samsung Galaxy S26 series, here’s what we know
The design of the Samsung Galaxy S26 series may change. All three devices are expected to feature an integrated camera module rather than a separate camera cutout. Additionally, the Galaxy S26 Ultra may have more rounded corners compared to the previous generation.
In terms of performance, the Galaxy S26 series is likely to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC in some regions and the Exynos 2600 variant in some markets.
There may also be an upgrade on the camera front. Previous reports suggested that the S26 and S26 Plus would continue to use the S25’s 10-megapixel 3x telephoto lens, but a new leak suggests they could switch to a 12-megapixel 3x telephoto sensor. This raises the possibility that Samsung will eventually update components across multiple model generations.
As for the battery, Samsung is rumored to pack a 5,000mAh battery in the Galaxy S26 Ultra, while the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Plus are likely to have 4,300mAh and 4,900mAh batteries, respectively. The Galaxy S26 series is also expected to receive Qi2 support for wireless charging, which would make the device compatible with Apple’s MagSafe.
Samsung Galaxy S26 series release and expected price
According to reports, the Samsung Galaxy S26 series may be launched at an event to be held in San Francisco, USA on February 25, 2026. There is little information available regarding the pricing of Samsung’s new flagship. However, it is believed that the Korean giant may not change the price from the Galaxy S25 series.
Samsung Galaxy S25 was launched in India at Rs 80,999, while Galaxy S25 Plus was priced at Rs 99,999. Galaxy S25 Ultra price started from Rs 1,29,999.
