Youth icon Rishabh Pant has worked with the World Bank to promote awareness of the importance of South Asia’s collective action on cleaner air and the sustainable environment.

In an inspiring campaign message, Pants likens the world to a dressing room, emphasizing that we are all part of one team with a common vision to protect the planet. He associates this with the core of Indian culture, symbolized by the Sanskrit phrase “vasudhaiva kutumbakam.” This means “the world is one family.”

Pant’s involvement has given great support to the World Bank’s continued efforts to strengthen regional cooperation on South Asia’s air quality. The campaign emphasizes that a collaborative approach to pollution prevention is 45% more cost-effective than individual local initiatives.

Inspired by millions of people on the cricket field, Pants now uses his influence to defend an important cause of environmental awareness.

This initiative goes beyond mere advocacy. It serves as a powerful reminder that athletes, institutions, and individuals can create a real impact. The prominent voice of Pants in this movement is that the goal is to connect with young people and communities across borders.

Pant is currently in the UK and is performing a 5 Test series under the flag of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. He was one of India’s best players in his first match at Headingley, earning a century in each inning. He became the first Indian batsman to achieve that.

India hopes to improve his catch behind the wicket in the second match, starting on Wednesday, July 2nd, to maintain consistency.
