Qatar focuses on growing economic ties with India beyond oil and gas: Minister Al Sayed

New Delhi (India), February 18th (ANI): Qatar is eager to expand its economic partnership with India beyond the traditional oil and gas sector, focusing on new business opportunities and investments said Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Seyz. Foreign Trade, Qatar.
In an exclusive conversation with Ani, Dr. Al Sayed emphasized the importance of Qatar’s Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani’s visit to India. He emphasized that the visit reflects strong strategic partnerships between the two countries in various sectors.
“We are focused on the growth of our non-oil and gas businesses that can team up with India. We welcome Indian businessmen,” said Dr Al Seed.
Qatar and India have shared strong trade and business relations over the years, especially in the energy sector. However, with world trade rapidly evolving and the impact of artificial intelligence and technology growing, Qatar is now aiming to expand its focus beyond oil and gas.
“The world today is changing dramatically in terms of trade and business, technology and AI application. We continue to invest in Qatar’s petrochemicals, oil and gas. With India.” He said.
Dr. Al Sayed also encouraged Indian companies to explore investment opportunities in Qatar. He was convinced that the Qatar government is actively working to strengthen its economic ties with India and create more partnerships in various sectors.
“We welcome Indian businessmen. We encourage business society, government and the public sector to invest more in India and build more partnerships in various fields,” he added. .
Dr. Al Sayed expressed his enthusiasm for the visit and said he looks forward to further strengthening economic ties between the two countries.
“I am so happy and pleased to be here and look forward to further strengthening our partnership to the next level,” he said.
Qatar is one of India’s main partners in the Gulf region, with both countries engaged in trade and investment cooperation. Qatar’s Amir visit, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani, is expected to further enhance economic cooperation and open new avenues for businesses in both countries.
Qatar Amir is on a two-day state visit to India. He is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including ministers, senior officials and business delegations. He had previously come to India on a state visit in March 2015. (ANI)
