Singapore, Academic Affiliation for Language Testing Centre: Mous signed with Himanta

Guwahati, February 15: Assam Prime Minister Himanta Biswasarma signalled to deeper relations between Japan and Singapore on Saturday as he announced three major developments during the Assam 2.0 Summit’s advantage meet .

The Prime Minister has made it clear that two memorandums (Mous) will be signed with Japan and Singapore to strengthen the relationship between education and skills development.

While establishing the Japanese Language Testing Centre in Assam, there is an academic partnership with Singapore.

“The Japanese Language Test Centre has been set up in Assam and is ready to hire 50,000 Assam young people. In the future, Japan is actively seeking talent from Assam, so they will expand this further. I am willing to do this,” the prime minister said.

He also announced that Assam Skill University in Daran will soon establish an academic partnership with Singapore.

Emphasizing the need and importance of skills, the Prime Minister said: “In my interactions with industry leaders and businessmen, I realized that skills are important for local industrial development, so we also focus on honing young people’s skills. .”

Salma also announced that Japan and Assam also have a dual degree university program.

“The dual programme between Japan and Assam will strengthen academic engagement and mutual learning,” the prime minister said.

Japan, Singapore, Bhutan, Thailand, Malaysia and Australia are designated as partner countries for the summit.

“In addition, the Philippines, Finland, Iceland, Austria and the Republic of South Korea have also expressed interest in participating,” the prime minister said.

I will be present regarding the Summit US India Business Council, India New Zealand Business Council, UAE-India Business Council, and bilateral agencies participating in Taipei Economic and Business Centre.

“These institutions have never been to Assam before,” the prime minister said.

Multilateral institutions scheduled to visit the state include the World Bank, the European Union (first time), and in particular the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

“The EU will be visiting Assam for the first time,” the prime minister added.
