Chinese national president Xi Jinping will be chairing a symposium next week to raise private sector sentiment attended by country’s business leaders, including Alibaba co-founder Jack Ma, with knowledge of the conference. The three said.

Reuters spoke to five people with knowledge of the symposium for this article, but refused to be identified as they were not allowed to speak to the media. The State Legislature Intelligence Office, which processes media queries on behalf of state leaders, did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Alibaba, Tencent, Xiaomi, Huawei and Yushu did not respond to requests for comment.
