The designer of the same name, Giorgio Armani, opened a store at GeoWorld Plaza in Mumbai on February 12th, housed gorgeous men’s and women’s apparel and accessories. The Italian label celebrated the opening by debuting a joint exhibition with Indian photographer Aldo Fallai, which will be held at the mall until March 9th.

“Experienced the artistic dialogue between Aldo Farai and Giorgio Armani, I came to life through impressive visuals and timeless photographs celebrating decades of creativity,” Jio World Plaza announced on Facebook. “Don’t miss this fascinating journey through art and fashion.”
In the exhibition, Feirai interprets Armani’s classic Italian silhouette through his signature soft and thoughtful lens. By bringing the exhibition to India, the brand aims to share its vision with new audiences as it continues to expand its domestic retail footprint. According to the shopping centre’s website, the new Giorgio Armani store is also available at Level 1 at Reliance Industries Limited Mall.
“I have been to India many times, especially Mumbai. I have never estimated that I will fully understand a culture that is different from my own,” Farai said of the debut of the photo exhibition in India. “Instead, I have always tried to approach it with humility and with curiosity and respect. This exhibition stimulates the same curiosity among those who see it and leave a lasting impression on them. I hope for it.”
