“China Prime Minister Li Qian was able to begin operations at a China-funded airport in Balochistan, Pakistan, when he visited the country next week,” Atala Tara said on Sunday (October 13, 2024). ) told reporters.

“The $200 million Gwaddar International Airport launch of operations at Gwadar International Airport after a fatal separatist militants in the region in August has been pushed back for security reviews,” said the government and aviation. The source said.

“Li will visit Pakistan with the pastor and government officials from October 14th to October 17th,” the Pakistan Foreign Ministry said on Sunday (13th October 2024).

Pakistan will hold a meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) consisting of all nine people, including China, India, Iran and Russia, and is scheduled for October 15th and October 16th in Islamabad.

According to Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority, “the new airport will process domestic and international flights,” making it one of the largest airports in the country.

“The initial plan was for Prime Minister Shebaz Sharif to open the airport on August 14th with Chinese officials, but it was cancelled after ethnic baroque rights groups launched a sit-in protest. “I did,” the official said.

Decades of rebellion in Balochistan by separatist extremist groups have led to frequent attacks on the interests of the government, the army and China, bringing benefits in areas that demand the sharing of mineral-rich local resources.

The Chinese embassy in Pakistan said two Chinese citizens were killed in an explosion near an international airport in Karachi, southern Pakistan.

The separatist extremist group, the Baroque Liberation Army (BLA), has argued for the attack.

China said on Thursday (October 10, 2024) that it will work with Pakistan to protect the safety and security of Pakistan’s Chinese, projects and institutions. In addition to separatists, the region is also home to Muslim extremists, and has been active again since 2022 after canceling a ceasefire with the government.
