Marseille Indian Diaspora welcomes Prime Minister Modi with enthusiasm

Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a warm welcome from the Indian Diaspora at his hotel in Marseille after arriving in the French city on Tuesday (local time).
Ukkarshu, a member of the Diaspora, expressed his happiness in meeting the Prime Minister in a meeting with the community, saying that Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Marseille will play an important role in strengthening Indian ties.

When Ukkarshu, a member of the Indian Diaspora, said, “After meeting Prime Minister Modi, I felt very happy. This was his first visit to Marseille, south of France. Prime Minister Modi said that Prime Minister Modi said that he was “a great joy.” thanked him for waiting for him in the evening.

Another member, Priyanka Sharma, said, “We have been here for the past four years… I have now met Prime Minister Modi… He is very happy to see us, We felt really happy too.”

After his arrival, Prime Minister Modi emphasized the importance of the Indian Consulate in Marseille. This is likely to play an important role in strengthening the “people-people” relationship between India and France.

In particular, Prime Minister Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron will launch the Indian Consulate in Marseille.

Marseille is an important gateway for trade between India and France due to its strategic location on the Mediterranean coast. It is also one of the entry points for the India-Central Eastern European Economic Corridor (IMEC).

During the visit, Prime Minister Modi also said he would pay tribute to the Indian soldiers who had taught Martial during World War I and World War II.

He said, “President Macron and I have recently arrived in Marseille. This visit will be marked by a key program aimed at strengthening relations between India and France. World War I and the Second World War. Please pay tribute to the Indian soldiers who fell as martyrs in World War II.”

Prime Minister Modi will also visit the International Thermonuclear Test Reactor (ITER) Project, a key international cooperation in nuclear fusion research.

Previously, upon his arrival, Prime Minister Modi paid tribute to the city’s historical significance in India’s freedom struggle, recalling an attempt to “a brave escape” to veil the Sabalkar, and supported him during the dangers. I was grateful for this.

In a post in X, he said, “We have landed in Marseille. In the quest for freedom in India, the city holds special importance. Here, the great Veer Savarkar attempts a courageous escape. French activists at the time demanded that he not be handed over to British custody.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Modi addressed the CEOs forum in Paris.

In X’s post, he wrote: “The India-France CEO Forum plays an important role in strengthening economic ties and promoting innovation. , investing and ensuring a better future for future generations.”

Speaking at the event, Prime Minister Modi said, “This is more than just a business event, and the convergence of the brightest minds from India and France. You embrace the mantra of innovation, collaboration and promotion, and advance with purpose. It is promoting not only forging meeting room connections, but also actively strengthening the strategic partnership between India and France.”

He also emphasized deep trust and values ​​between India and France, citing democratic principles, innovation and serving people as pillars of friendship.

“India and France do not only lead to democratic values. Deep trust, innovation and service to the people are the pillars of our friendship. Our relationship is not limited to our two countries. Hmm. There’s a problem,” added Prime Minister Modi.

Prime Minister Modi also co-chaired the AI ​​Action Summit with Paris French President Emmanuel Macron.

The weeklong summit culminated in a high-level segment attended by global leaders, policymakers and industry experts.
