Musk heads the newly created Office of Government Efficiency (DOGE). He was entrusted by Trump to cut the size of the federal workforce as part of an effort to save money his administration considers as “waste.”

Drilling into the world’s wealthiest people, Democrats said the whistleblower efforts will be “invaluable” in their mission to retain people who are weakened to explain.

“In the first three weeks of his administration, President Trump has shown blatant disregard for the rule of law and ruthlessness towards the American people,” Senate Democrat Chuck Schumer joined forces with adjutant Gary Peters. He said in a statement.

“From the Treasury acquisition of Doge to the freezing of federal funds, the administration has wreaked havoc on programs that have become dependent on American families, seniors, students, veterans and others,” they said. .

Musk leads the crackdown

Musk, known as a “special government official” by the White House, cracked down on the US International Development Agency, which he described as a “criminal organisation.”

More than 2,000 US agencies for international development employees were due to be sent on holiday by last Friday after mask crackdowns against aid agencies. The move was interrupted by Trump’s appointee, US District Judge Carl Nichols.

The agency was investigating its relationship with mask company Starlink before the billionaires began targeting it.

Also, lawsuits have been filed against Mask’s move to seek confidential information on computer systems of various government agencies. A New York judge temporarily blocked officials from Doge from accessing pending data from hearings over the coming days.

More than 40 lawsuits have been filed in various US courts challenging the controversial moves of the Trump administration, Bloomberg said. Judges in Maryland and Washington have blocked Trump’s move to limit birthright citizenship. The Department of Justice appealed a ruling from Washington. This is a move that could reach the U.S. Supreme Court.

Critics cited by the AFP said much of Musk’s actions were illegal because they bypassed the oversight powers granted to the US Congress by the US Constitution.
