Imran Khan’s PTI will be attending the fourth round of consultations, citing the government, which did not investigate the May 9 riots and the November 2024 protests, did not establish a Judiciary Committee. I refused.

Omar Ayub Khan, the leader of the opposition in the Pakistan Teherek-e-Insaf National Assembly discovered by former Prime Minister Imran Khan, ruled out the possibility of resuming dialogue between the party and the government That’s what the news reports said on Sunday.

“The Talks chapter is currently closed,” Geo News quoted Ayub on Saturday as saying.

Ayub said political negotiations were not merely based on wishes, but required solid commitments that the government had not demonstrated.

The senior PTI leader censored the coalition government’s approach to consultations that now appears to have collapsed, and his party committee said he had begun debate in good faith. “However, the other side showed no good intentions or intentions and did not lead to a deadlock,” Ayub’s remarks came as negotiations between the PTI and the ruling government. I hold three negotiation sessions.

PTI, which also released a charter for written demand, has entered into a fourth round of consultations, citing that the government, which did not investigate the May 9 riots and the November 2024 protests, did not establish a Judiciary Committee. I refused to attend.

Since then, Khan’s party has hinted at agitation and held a rally in Swabi city’s Kyabar Paktankwa on Saturday to observe “Black Day” to protest the rigging of last year’s general election.

As Parley’s future remains uncertain, a parliamentary spokesman revealed that Ayaz Sadiq did not formally invite PTI to negotiate, but his doors were to all members. I simply said it would remain open.

In response to AYUB’s statement, the spokesman said the formal invitation to talks will only be extended if requested by either the government or the opposition.

He reiterated that the speaker’s role is to promote dialogue, and that his rooms and residences are accessible to all lawmakers.

Separately, Pakistani Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Senator Irfan Siddiki said, reflecting Ayub’s remarks on the future of the consultations, the government’s negotiation committee was “substantially functional.” It’s not effective.”

In a statement on X, Siddiqui said it is no longer operating, regardless of whether the committee has officially dissolved or not.

He noted that the PTI unilaterally withdraws from the negotiation process and then Prime Minister Shebaz Sharif refused the offer to reconsider their stance.

The senator accused the PTI of returning to “home to violent protests,” and said the government may reevaluate its options if the government later decides to engage in consultations.

Meanwhile, Gohar Ali Khan, the lawyer for PTI, has made it clear that he has not called for intervention from any country, including the United States, to release the imprisoned former prime minister.

“We don’t ask any country to release Kern, including the United States. He’s not doing any trades and does not do anything.

“As Khan himself said, we are negotiating with Pakistan for democracy, not for the sake of transactions,” Gohar said in a statement.
