The unparalleled matchup between Race BC and Vinyl BC on Saturday night has been cancelled to “prioritize the health and safety of players,” the league announced. MIST BC and Lunar Owls BC’s Saturday games continued to take place, moving until 6pm.
Although no details regarding this situation have been released by the league, Race BC deals with a number of injuries.
Alyssa Thomas collapsed with a knee injury during the victory of the team that won BC on January 24th and has not played since. Jackie Young missed the first four games with a knee injury and reinjured his knee in the team’s loss to Rose BC on February 1st, Tiffany Hayes also injured when he lost to Rose BC on February 1st I did. The league’s inauguration season will be tip-offs in Miami on January 17th, with the regular season running until March 10th. The short single elimination playoffs continue with the semi-finals on March 16th and the championship on March 17th.
