Celebras-driven AI Assistant LE Chat achieves 1,000 words per second and challenges Openai, Meta and Deepseek.
French AI company Mistral has partnered with US Chipmaker Cerebras Systems to achieve what it claims to be a record-breaking AI response speed. Backed by the UAE Tech Conglomated G42, Cerebras offers the computing power behind Mistral’s new AI assistant.
The newly launched app, Le Chat, positions Mistral as a major competitor of Openai, Meta and China’s Deepseek in open source AI races. Cerebras CEO Andrew Feldman emphasized that providing faster and more accurate responses is a key focus of AI development and requires more computing power during inference.
Known for challenging NVIDIA with AI model training, Celebras is expanding its presence in AI applications despite delays in initial public offerings due to US government reviews. Collaboration with Mistral marks a significant milestone as it is the first major partnership with leading AI model developers.
