Alibaba Group Holdings It reinforces that artificial intelligence The (AI) Consumer Applications team is in the recent hiring of machine learning and computer vision technology expert Steven Hoi Chu-Hong, who previously served as managing director of Salesforce Research Asia.
Based on SingaporeHoi was appointed vice-president of Alibaba, owner of the South China Morning Post last month and joined. Intelligent Information Platformoversees consumer products such as the group’s AI chatbot, UC browser, and search engine quark.

HOI will lead research and development of multimodal foundation models, agent-related research and applied solutions for consumer AI businesses, according to a report from Chinese digital media outlet Jiemian.

Hangzhou– Base Alibaba did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Thursday.

Alibaba’s HOI recruitment reflects a search for an intensifying Top AI talent by Chinese big Chinese high-tech companies amidst the challenges in the country’s job market.
