Russia has proposed joint production of SU-57 fifth generation fighter jets with India, and support in the supply of assembled aircraft and development of fifth generation indigenous fighter jets, Sputnik India reported .
Alexander Mikiev, director of the Russian arms exporter Rozboronexport, said India is offering a comprehensive partnership under the SU-57E project, which includes local manufacturing capabilities.
“Our proposals include supplying assembled aircraft, organisation of joint production in India and supporting the development of Indian fifth generation fighter jets,” Mikheev quoted Sputnik India as saying It was done.
As Russia bolsters its efforts to promote SU-57s for export, the offer claims that state-owned defense corporation Rostec is claiming to increase global demand for aircraft Masu.
The aircraft will be on display at Aero India 2025, scheduled for February 10th-14th at Ellahanka Air Force Base in Bengaluru.
“The SU-57 is an advanced fifth generation aircraft. It has a great interest in fighter aircraft at Bengaluru air shows. With the improvements in aircraft and promotions to new markets, UAC (United Aircraft Corporation) experts is working to expand. We will be able to meet this growing demand for fighter jets,” Rostec said in a statement.
The SU-57 is the only fifth generation fighter in the world, and it has proven its effectiveness in countering Western air defense systems in actual combat conditions, the company added.
