Adidas Originals drops new knitwear at the corner of Spring. These have a classic football twist.
The jumpers incorporate the style of the common adidas football kit, with three stripes of signatures from the brand on the shoulders, shirt sponsors and of course the club’s emblem.
The top, loosely inspired by the TeamGeist jersey released at the 2006 World Cup, arrives in two colorways: mossy green and classic black, red and white. The iconic TeamGeist signature – a contrasting panel of colors that framble the front of the kit – is reimagined in heavy knits.
The adidas shirt sponsor is in the middle, just below the three stylized striped emblems. The same Club Crest is featured in all jumpers, with three colorful bands surrounded by text, featuring the original team.
Nodding to Argentina, AC Milan and other striped clubs, Adidas has previously equipped, with two jumpers with alternating waffle-knit stripes complete the drop. One arrives in blue and white originals, while the other is a deep plum with black details.
The back of each kit contains “Adidas” and “03” in its name.
This pitch-enabled drop appears exclusive to China and Hong Kong, but the finger-crossed adidas soon become global with these gems.
