The Islamabard High Court suspended 10 sentenced to 10 people, who were convicted of the protests that broke out on May 10, 2023, after the arrest of former Prime Minister Imlan Khan.

Mohsin AKHTAR KAYANI and Sardar Ejaz ISHAQ KHAN, including Judge Sardar Ejaz ISHAQ KHAN, supported prisoners on bail, supporting prisoners on bail when submitting a guarantee bond equivalent to 25,000 RS25,000, respectively.

In November 2024, the Terrorism Court was sentenced to a prisoner in a 5 -year and 10 -month prison for allegedly attacking police officers and attacking checkpoints in Islamabard’s Faizabad Interchange.

The High Court pointed out that in a written order, the record of the lawsuit did not establish one of the prisoners being arrested from the protest.

A lawyer argued that the court had already won the defendant on terrorism charges and instead ruled them with less crime.

“The defendant was not caught from the crime, but they were convicted,” the court observed.

However, the prosecutor claimed that the forensic court was sentenced to prisoners based on the evidence of a forensic and CCTV images.

The prosecutor also opposed the suspect and claimed that the conviction was supported by available evidence.

The charge sheet revealed that five of the 10 guilty individuals were Afghanistan. The court ordered the defendant to submit the original identity documents to the deputy registrant for verification.

“In the case of Afghanistan citizenship, the Deputy Registers shall hold the documents,” the court decided.

The prisoners are instructed to appear in the court for all hearing in the future as the appeal process continues.
