Samsung’s new Android XR headset indicates that everyone is underestimating Apple Vision Pro.

Everyone copy Apple. Even the mistakes of the technology of technology. Samsung is working on a unique VR/AR helmet called “Project Moohan” and AR glasses. The first video, which finally showed its abilities, seems to be the biggest inspiration of Samsung and Google’s new headset.

Some of the selected journalists and the industry in the industry spent a practical time in the headset last year, but this is the first time our rest has met directly. TECH YouTuber Marques Brownlee shares the first and outer first images of the helmet. First, look at the exaggerated AndroidXR ecosystem and its control. If you have seen or seen Vision Pro or Meta Quest 3 or Quest 3, you can get a thick sense of Deja Vu.

From the photos, this device is very similar to Apple’s $ 3,500 headset. The device also has an external battery pack that can slide into your pocket. Samsung’s device has brought some improvements to Apple’s design. One is a simple USB-C that can be connected to an external battery when running low in a base unit. The front screen is glass, but there is no visual acuity function that resembles a human eye on the front of the goggles. According to Brownly, the headset is much more comfortable. This device, unlike Vision Pro, contains a shield that weighs the eyebrows, not the nose.

The similarities do not end there. The headset includes the tracking of hands and eyes by AR pass -through. Like Vision Pro and The Meta Quest 3, after recent updates, you can use a pinch gesture to move windows around the environment, support them in the most convenient place for you. There is also an open palm gesture, like Apple’s “spatial computer”, to open an application that scrolls left and right with a pinch gesture.

According to Brownlee, Google changes to some of the most popular apps such as YouTube with AndroidXR, but the rest of the application is also compatible. The headset includes an automatic IPD adjustment and UI that is closer to HTC Vive or Meta quests than VISION PRO’s long -lasting tracking setup.

The major difference between Vision Pro and Moohan is that the latter can access AI. GEMINI is located in the upper bar of the app menu and can be accessed in a pinch. This gives the Gemini Live version for a continuous conversation with Google’s chatbot. AI intends to be like a cross -app AI assistant directly seen with Samsung Galaxy S25. However, this version works directly with the pass -through function of the headset. Brownly looked at the cover of the Dubai magazine and asked the headset to “take me there.” The device loaded a Google map centered on the UAE, and then fell on the street view.

Another addition is a vision that can be used in Google’s circle. This allows you to search for objects based on the one in front of you, but the camera tended to take a picture of Brownly’s hand.

According to Brownlee, Moohan is a “deep collaboration” of Samsung and Google. Google will want Android to make AndroidXR a lot like a mobile phone. However, Meta is already trying to lean on the direction in Horizonos. META has been able to use operating systems (ironically, built based on Android Open Source Project or AOSP) in external OEMS. Meta thought that companies, including ASUS, had their headsets on the way. Recent Leaks suggest that ASUS’s “Tarius” headset may arrive this year.

As a person who used both Visionos and Horizo Nos last year, AndroidXR seems to be evolving in most cases. Samsung has not yet confirmed that Moohan will provide the controller configuration, but one of the missing elements of Vision Pro is the controller support. Brownlee estimates that the support of the controller is included in the card, but its usefulness depends on the number of AR or VR games. Although there are relatively few VR games worthwhile to play in the Play Store, I hope that it can be connected to a PCVR title by connecting to another application such as Steam Link app or Virtual Desktop.

Samsung and Apple are both reportedly working on AR glasses. Compared to a large and bulky headset, these devices are transported and worn in public without looking like a losing space. Holy Grail is a device with a vision and display that has an ability like Moohan and Vision Pro, but the current slate on the glasses released this year is relatively limited. Check how the Orion glasses of the meta shake. Nevertheless, if Samsung can divide the ceiling in some form with power and functions with future smart glasses with Android XR, we will be happy and surprised.
